Tivo Meets Comcast.

YAY!

About fricking time.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - TiVo Inc. (NasdaqNM:TIVO - News) on Tuesday said it will supply its digital video recording system to No. 1 cable television operator Comcast Corp. (NasdaqNM:CMCSA - News) in a deal that will boost TiVo's distribution and could quiet lingering doubts about its growth strategy.

The pact may boost subscribers at TiVo, which has been under scrutiny by Wall Street analysts to prove how it will grow in coming years. The deal came about one week after Comcast set a $1 billion deal to buy television set-top boxes from Motorola Inc. (NYSE:
MOT - News)

TiVo shares jumped more than 30 percent in pre-opening trade on Inet Tuesday.
